The early 2000s camera look

Make HD footage look like it came off an old compressed camera: whites blow out, blacks crush and the detail goes soft and blocky.

What’s inside?

After Effects drag and drop presets, including a black and white version. They need the Sapphire plugin, so install Sapphire first.

How it works

With Sapphire installed, drag a preset onto your clip in After Effects and press play. It holds up on busy shots too, like concert crowds.

About this product

Requires Sapphire Plug-In LOW-RES LOOK is the ultimate throwback tool for editors chasing that perfectly imperfect Y2K vibe. These After Effects drag-and-drop presets take your crisp HD footage and tear it down in all the right ways: blocky compression, crushed detail, and a warped, nostalgic grit that screams 2005. Designed to destroy your footage (in the best way possible), LOW-RES LOOK channels the aesthetic of early internet videos, metro-Frutiger graphics, and glitchy camcorder archives. Perfect for music videos, experimental edits, or anyone who wants their visuals to feel raw, authentic, and unapologetically lo-fi. Drop it on, hit play, and watch your footage instantly travel back two decades.

How to install

Download your files from the link in your confirmation email, then follow the product listing's setup guide. This pack requires Sapphire.

A few common causes. If nothing happens when you click the download link, your browser may be the issue. Disable any non-standard add-ons or toolbars and try again. If your computer says the file is corrupted, delete it and download it again. If your computer cannot open the file, you are probably missing the program needed to open that file type. Download that program and try again.

Licence and exchanges

Buying a pack or plugin gives one person a perpetual license to use it in their own edits, including paid client work, monetized videos, and other commercial projects. There is no extra fee for commercial use and no credit required.

If a pack doesn't work in your editor, or it just isn't what you needed, email tinytapeshelp@gmail.com and we'll exchange it for another pack.
